Messiah our Passover Lamb - Free Printable

Messiah our Passover Lamb - free printable to celebrate Passover and Unleavened Bread | Land of Honey

Here's a New Testament Bible verse drawing attention to two Biblical holidays: Passover and Unleavened Bread.

"For Messiah our Passover lamb was sacrificed for us: so then let us keep the feast, not with the old leaven; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth." -1 Corinthians 5:7-8

That's a powerful statement penned by the Apostle Paul. I love that he said to keep these times, not just know about them. Let us keep the feast. Let us recognize the foretelling of the Messiah in the Exodus story and the holiday of Passover, and celebrate the work he did on this day many years ago. Let us get rid of the old leaven of our cultural traditions and sincerely take part in these times, recognizing that they point to the truth of the Messiah.

What better verse to focus on during these special times? It's an easy way to add a touch of festivity to your home or office, and a decoration that is perfect for Passover and Unleavened Bread. The printable itself is simple enough to print off on any basic printer. I love having this verse out for others to see because it points to the validity of the Messiah and Biblical holidays!

Biblical Holiday Dates Printable 2023 (traditional calendar)

Biblical Holiday Dates for 2023 - free printable | Land of Honey

These are the dates for when the Biblical holidays land in 2023! As usual, here is a free printable for you to stick in your planner, on your fridge, desk, or wherever else so that you can be sure to free up these days to celebrate the set apart times of our Creator. All of these holidays are significant, and honoring them will cause your faith to grow tremendously! Some of these days are called Sabbaths in Scripture, which means we are not to do any work on those days and otherwise treat them as the weekly Sabbath. I've made a note of those days so that you can plan accordingly.

Normally I give a few different sets of dates because there are many different calendars that believers use to line up the Biblical months with the Gregorian calendar our society uses. Right now I'm just giving the traditional calendar because I haven't heard back from ministries that use others. Hopefully it will be updated to include a few more soon!

Biblical holiday dates 2023 free printable - traditional calendar | Land of Honey

Traditional calendar:

The traditional calendar has days going from sundown to sundown. Holidays start at sundown on the day listed. For example, Passover starts at sundown on April 5 and ends at sundown the next day, April 6. The traditional calendar also gives an extra day for Shavuot and Yom Teruah, though Scripture treats both as one-day holidays.

Passover - April 5-6

Unleavened Bread - April 6-13

First Fruits - April 8-9

Shavuot - May 25-27

Feast of Trumpets - September 15-17

Yom Kippur - September 24-25

Feast of Tabernacles - September 29 - October 7

A note about Sabbath days:

As mentioned, certain Biblical holidays are to be treated as we would the weekly Sabbath. That means taking time off of professional work, and as many normal household chores and tasks as possible. We don't shop on the Sabbath or run errands. We should prioritize having these days off from work. Most of the Feast of Unleavened Bread and Feast of Tabernacles are not Sabbath days, which means we can choose to work, get groceries, etc. if necessary. If possible, I would encourage you to take these days off of work and/or school as a way to change your pace and have fun with the Biblical set apart times. If it's not possible for you to take off every Biblical holiday, prioritize the ones that are Sabbath days!

Sabbath days:

First day of Unleavened Bread - April 6-7
Last day of Unleavened Bread - April 12-13
Shavuot - May 25-27
Feast of Trumpets -  September 15-17
Yom Kippur - September 24-25
First day of Tabernacles - September 29-30
Last day of Tabernacles - October 6-7

Simple decorations like this can help spread the festivity of this Biblical holiday and spread the joy and message of that! It couldn't be easier. Just print it off and stick it on your refrigerator or in your cubicle at work. Frame it if you want to. It also works well to put in a sukkah or a camper.

Yes, I do realize the picture is a tent and not a sukkah as defined by Jewish law. This is simply meant to be something fun, and if the tent in the picture doesn't work for you and this printable isn't for you, there are no hard feelings. In Scripture the word 'sukkah' means temporary dwelling space, which is an appropriate term for a variety of structures.

Need a verse to inspire you at home? How about this significant statement from Hebrews?

"I will put my Torah in their minds and write it on their hearts." -Hebrews 8:10

Take note that this is a New Testament verse not just talking about the Torah in a positive way, but promising that it would be written on the hearts and minds of believers! This is not something that happened just in the past - this is also for us today. Print this off as a reminder of this Biblical truth.

Serve YHWH Printable

"Serve YHWH with all your heart." -1 Samuel 12:20

I love having Bible verses displayed in my home: the ten commandments framed, on my homemade chalkboard, and in any of the many printables that I frame or put on the fridge or on the mirror. The reason I have made so many different printables is that I find after a while you tend to notice them less. Switching out Scripture verses or moving a framed verse to a different spot is a great way to freshen things up and to have that Scripture resound in you while you're getting ready for the day or heading out the door.

Here's another great verse to remind us to walk in YHWH's ways. Isn't that something we all need help with? Walking in his ways and being obedient to his commands has to be intentional on our part. I love seeing this verse and it is a reminder to pray this for my life and my community.

Happy Shavuot! I wanted to share a printable today to help with the festivities at your house. A few years back I shared a milk and honey printable for Shavuot, but this one is a little more home printer friendly. Just print it out and tape it to the fridge or put it in a frame. To me, it's nice to decorate because it helps build the anticipation for the upcoming holiday, and makes it a little bit different from the rest of the year.

Don't Let Me Stray - Psalm 119 Printable

Have you read through Psalm 119 recently? That passage is one of my favorites in Scripture, and if you haven't, I would for sure encourage you to give it a read. It is packed with encouragement to honor YHWH's instructions and I think we all benefit from those reminders.

"Don't let me stray from your commands." Can you hear the cry of the author who penned this? I love how their desire to serve and honor YHWH is expressed this way. You've told me what to do...don't let me wander away from that. I decided to make this into a printable so that we can all be reminded of that prayer for help.

Are you ready for Yom Kippur? I thought a printable was in order to remind us all of the Messiah's sacrifice for us. Not to write off the significance of this set apart time, but to see how it points to Yahusha and YHWH's plan for our redemption. Of course this verse could easily stay up year round.

I made it in black and white so it's easy to print off at home, so it makes for a simple last-minute decoration. I hope you have a very meaningful Yom Kippur this year!

light, easy, small printable

"It is a light, easy, small thing to bring back the tribes of Jacob and to restore Israel." -Isaiah 49:6

The wording from this verse is so lovely to me. What seems to me as an insurmountable problem - the lost tribes of Israel - is described as light, easy, and small for YHWH. No problem at all.

That goes for what you're dealing with too. Maybe you're having relationship frustrations with family members. Easy thing for YHWH to restore. Or maybe your health diagnosis isn't so great at the moment. That is a light matter for YHWH. If your situation with work is bad that is a small thing to YHWH.

Light easy small. YHWH overcomes it all. If that's a reminder you need, here is a printable for you. Put it in a place you will see it often, and be reminded of hope.

DIY Shavuot Cupcake Toppers

Here's a simple way to add some Shavuot festivity to your upcoming feast! You can make these at home in just a few minutes. You probably have everything required. Just some tape, wooden skewers or toothpicks, and the printout of these cupcake toppers is all you need. I intentionally made it something that would print out well on a regular home printer using plain paper. Nothing fancy needed at all.

You will need:
Shavuot cupcake printable
Scissors
Double sided tape
Small wooden skewers or toothpicks

What to do:
First you'll need to cut out the hexagons. This shape makes it easy to cut and get nice edges. You will need two per cupcake topper, so print the appropriate number of sheets. One sheet will get you six toppers.

Flip over one hexagon and place a skewer in approximately the middle. Use double sided tape to secure it and then grab another hexagon. Connect the backside of it with the double sided tape. You may want to experiment with different skewer sizes to come up with a height that you prefer. And voila, you have your topper. Repeat as many times as you'd like and you're finished!

Use these to top cupcakes or dessert. Or use as you would toothpicks for snacks or appetizers at your Shavuot celebration.

Passover Bucket List + Printable

Here's a great way to make sure you can do all the Passover stuff this year. A bucket list! What's on mine for this Passover season? Attending Seder, reading through Exodus, making homemade matzah, praying for freedom for those enslaved in some way, setting a spiritual goal, and sending cards to name a few.

Make your own bucket list or download mine. Obviously, it doesn't need to be this big but hanging up a large print can serve twofold as a decoration throughout the week of Unleavened Bread and as a reminder of fun things to do to make this time special.

You can download this here, and then print it off on regular paper or have it printed. I had mine printed at Staples for about $1.75. It is free for your personal use and I hope it helps make Matzah Week a little more fun!

Hebrew Holiday Dates 2018 + Printable

When are the Hebrew holidays in 2018? Get a free printable of the dates | Land of Honey

This is the fifth time Land of Honey has made a printable of the Hebrew holiday dates for the upcoming year! My hope is that you print these off, save it to your phone, and write them in your calendar so that you can start preparing to honor YHWH by accepting his invitation to his set apart times. Be intentional about getting time off from work, budgeting for the celebrations, and otherwise scheduling the rest of your life around the feasts. Keeping the commandments won't happen by accident; so if you want to honor them you have to plan for it.

So the calendar has the dates (once again, two options to choose from) for YHWH's set apart times, then below I have specified which ones YHWH tells us not to work on. These times should be treated like the weekly Sabbath, where we take time off from professional work and avoid shopping, cooking, and so on. During the majority of days in Matzah Week and Sukkot work is allowable but I would encourage you to take those days off from your job, if possible, so that you can fully enjoy these set apart times.

Hebrew Holiday dates for 2018 - traditional calendar | Land of Honey

For the traditional calendar:

Remember, traditional dates start at sundown on the date listed and go until sundown the next day. For example Passover starts at sundown on March 30 and ends at sundown on the 31. The traditional calendar always gives an extra day to Shavuot and Yom Teruah, though Scripture treats both as one-day holidays.

No work days are:

Passover - March 30-31 (this is not a no work day in and off itself, but since it falls on Shabbat it is)
First day of Matzah Week - March 31- April 1
Last day of Matzah Week - April 6-7 (this is also the weekly Sabbath)

Shavuot - May 19-21

Yom Teruah - September 9-11

Yom Kippur - September 18-19

First day of Sukkot - September 23-24
Last day of Sukkot - September 30-October 1

No work days are:

First day of Matzah Week - April 4
Last day of Matzah Week - April 10

Shavuot - May 27

Yom Teruah - September 17

Yom Kippur - September 26

First day of Sukkot - October 1

Not sure which calendar to go by? The calendar debate can be confusing and there are other sets of dates besides the ones I am sharing. If you have a congregation or group to celebrate with I would personally adhere to what they are using, as getting to celebrate with a like minded group of believers is very special. Each calendar has pros and cons and we probably won't know with 100% certainty what the dates are for the festivals of YHWH until Yahusha returns. As always, pray about what YHWH would have you to do and be willing to adjust as your understanding grows.

Let's starting planning to keep the feasts this year!
