Vintage Hebrew Finds on Etsy

There most definitely is something very special about items that represent Biblical truths. Even more so when these items have been around for several decades or more! That likely means they were cherished by an owner who understood the meaning behind them. Etsy has an ever-changing inventory of Hebrew items. Last year I found a Bible that had been published in 1933 in Germany. It was written in both Hebrew and German and managed to survive the Nazis, only to be placed in a dumpster behind a used bookstore but then rescued by an Etsy seller.

Here are a few favorites right now.

This map of Israel is described as an ash tray but it could be used as a soap dish, jewelry holder, or decoration. I love that it has the names and symbols of all twelve tribes of Israel! From hiphuggie on Etsy.

This beautiful book, "The Works of Flavius Josephus," is from 1901 and stunning! Josephus is a well-known first first century historian. His writings are fascinating and I'd love to read all of them! From bigbangzero on Etsy.

Hanukkiah necklaces are fairly common but true seven-branch menorah necklaces are much more difficult to find. This lovely one is from the 1930s or 40s. From VintageArcana on Etsy.
